Background
An American, Carolyn Seaton has had the unique experience of residing overseas for thirty-three years. After receiving a Bachelor of Fine Arts and teacher credentials from Ohio Wesleyan University, she taught for a year in the U.S. and then began traveling: first to Togo, West Africa as a Peace Corps volunteer, then to Brussels, Belgium as a drawing and painting teacher at the International School of Brussels, and finally settling in Cairo where she currently teaches at Cairo American College. As an art educator, she finds great personal satisfaction mentoring students as they discover their own themes and styles.
She has exhibited in numerous group exhibitions and her work can be found in private collections in Asia, South America, the United States and here in Egypt.
